About Performance ASC
Performance ASC was founded by Chris Olsen, a mechanically inclined automotive technician with a compulsion to perform repairs that would outlast and outperform manufacturers engineering. Starting with a box of tools, a jack, and a second-hand welder a space was rented and Performance ASC started independently repairing anything that came in the door, cars, trucks, trailers, lawn mowers, motorhomes, you name it. Not long after a passion was found for vintage European imports, the mechanical "clockwork" that made these cars tick, and perform alongside vehicles made decades later made them desirable subjects of interest.
In 2009 Chris Olsen was approached by John Olson (SL Market Letter) who shared the passion for vintage Mercedes-Benz, and had a dream of a vintage Mercedes with modern amenities offered in newer models. Performance ASC's build-it-better ideal, turned into build-it-better - and to the customer's order.
Since then several restorations have taken place, built to order vehicles have become part of day-in/day-out operations, and countless partial restorations performed.
With the demand for custom tailored vehicles came the need for custom manufactured parts. Performance ASC is proud to be a part of the "Additive Manufacturing Revolution" (aka: 3D Printing). To date thousands of parts have been designed and prototyped in-house, hundreds put directly into service.
